  • Seems to me that throughout the last few months, Chris has been your best friend more than a boyfriend. I don’t mean that in a negative way. I just think that if you both don’t think of the other as “the one,” then you’re both emotionally mature enough to know that friendship is the tie that binds you to one another. There can still be love between you, it’s just transitioning.

Being fair to yourselves is key. If you can acknowledge and respect that, your friendship will survive.

    • Erini

Thanks. I hope so, because he does mean a lot to me.

  • *hugs* break ups are hard regardless. it seems like you’re losing just a label and, i hope, nothing more. you’ve been such great friends, i can’t imagine you not being in each others’ lives in some capacity. silver lining?

  • Breakups are always tough especially if there was a friendship involved as well. But, you’ll get through it, that’s what people do.

  • Ugh, I am so sorry. this sounds like a tough situation. I agree with Jenn though. It’s just transitioning.

  • Breaking up with someone can be the most tragic thing that can happen to someone. But just like what they say, in every ending comes a beginning. A new beginning that will lead you into a better relationship. Even though it wasn’t you who end up together, you could be happy because once, you had each other. Things change, things end… but memories will last forever. Do not be sad if you guys broke up… but be happy because he was once yours. Someone out there is meant to be for you… and Chris is just an instrument for you to get closer to that someone.
