Sunday Lately #02/56

This week was a weird one, mostly felt short. Mainly because I was sick on Tuesday, and thus only had one day on campus this week. It sort of threw me off a bit. But anyway, it’s Sunday and time for another Blogger Tribe Sunday Lately!

Blogger Tribe - Sunday Lately

This week’s words are: Planning, Loving, Reading, Wishing, Feeling

Planning: Research projects! For my Ethnographic Methods course, I’ve got to do some research out in “the field.” I had a number of ideas that I drafted up into proposals, a few I was pretty excited about. One of them isn’t extremely feasible this semester. I mean, I could make it work, but it would take a lot of work. And a working vehicle as I’d likely have to travel a good bit for it. (And the main site I want to visit is about a 20-hour drive away.) So I’m working on another that’s more feasible, and could even be done locally if need be. (Though hopefully will be done in Chicago.)

I’m also starting basic plans for road trips. I want to head west again. Go camping. Not sure if I’ll be able to make it happen, but keeping it on the back burner for now.

Loving: Cooking. I have been having so much fun cooking this week. Really ever since last Sunday’s cooking stream where I made by Bourbon & Bacon sauce for my steak. It. was. ah-mazing. I’ve been wanting to get this into a weekly stream, but not sure if I’ll be able to tomorrow. Partially because I have so many leftovers to deal with already from all the stuff I’ve been making this week.

Reading: Pretty much only for class these days. I picked up the Master Magician again last night. I sort of feel like maybe these three books should have been edited down into one story. They’re very repetitive-ish. Also, I absolutely do not like the relationship. Or maybe just the main character in the relationship. This whole “I need to be a good housekeeper/cook/stupidly stereotypical ideal of domestic woman” thing is annoying.

Wishing: My car will sell soon! I got the Lancer back yesterday. It runs, and I’m super grateful for my brother and all the work he’s put into it. But it still needs the timing adjusted… and, well, I want a good car for those road trips I’ve been dreaming of. So hopefully I’ll get this thing sold and be able to get into a car that can meet all my needs.

Feeling: Tired. The dry air has been wreaking havoc on my eyes, and the constant dryness and watering… It’s tiring me out. I also just need to get into the swing of things at school. I feel great when I’m there. But when Thursday afternoon hits, and I’m done with classes… I am done. Thursday nights are mine to do nothing but relax.

So, how did your week go? Are you in the blizzard?
